The oildyne pump has a built in thermal overload switch, at least ours
do.

That's news to me. There's nothing about that in the Lancair manual, or
in the Oildyne manual. Please tell us more!

As for the location of the circuit breaker and #10 wire to the hydraulic

pump, make sure those items don't pass anywhere near the magnetic
compass.
