There was a good turnout and a lot of "helping hands" available for all of the tasks that come along with a condition inspection. It was as much a social event as a maintenance seminar as well. Janie and I met some great folks and enjoyed talking Lancair all weekend long. The weather was a little "iffy" on Saturday morning, but the sun came out and provided us with a very comfortable weekend - weather wise. I certainly hope everyone made it home safely. Speaking of social events, Janie and I are hosting a Northeast Bonanza Society luncheon on October 3. It will be a "free lunch" for everyone (that should get everyone's attention). What I was thinking about was to extend and invitation to our "Lancair Family" to attend as well - - - - what does everyone think? Think Bonanzas and Lancairs mix?? The menu will be North Carolina style BBQ, with potato salad and cole slaw. Janie and I are native Carolinians and it has been a long time since I have had any good BBQ, so I'm inviting a long-time friend of ours to come up to Hampton Roads Executive (PVG) and cook some BBQ for us. For those who don't like BBQ, we plan to BBQ some chicken as well. Of course, weather is always a factor, but we need to set the gears in motion for the cookout - - - - so would anyone attend?? It doesn't have to be an exact head count, but I need to get some idea of the number of people who might attend - for planning purposes. Looking forward to hearing from everyone.
