I've gotten 22 emails with stories similar to mine, some much = worse. Stuart has called me, but as has been pointed out, he has no real = leverage with Ron. All he can do is pass on the messages.=20 Some of the messages I've received said that they got a response from = Ron only after legal action was taken, several others were contemplating = legal action and searching for a California attorney. I guess that I'll = need to put myself into the second category. It is my understanding that = ECI, the cylinder manufacturer, has taken legal action against = Performance for nonpayment. There have been two on-list responses that have gotten good customer = service from Ron. That's what's really hard for me to figure out. Why = does Ron treat so many of us with such contempt and others get good = service? In my case, I paid the asking price for the engine, wire = transferred the money when asked to, have made no demands to Ron, have = never been in a hurry and the only telephone conversation that I've ever = had with him was cordial and businesslike. I would have considered = myself a "good" customer. I can't seem to grasp the logic that would = cause a businessman to turn a good customer into a highly dissatisfied = one when a simple phone call with an explanation has been my "demand".=20 Performance Engines used to have a reputation as one of the best engine = shops in the country.
