i have gotten a quote for the fasteners and the price is more reasonable for a group of 100 units

 

the most common sizes are 1820-2 and 1820-3 for the male parts and 1810 for the receptacle

a typical IV-P cowling requires about 30 of them around the firewall and at the bottom around the nose gear area. quick to remove and lasts a long time f-16 hardware quality mine are still working after 4-5 years and never had to replace a receptacle and ocasionally the studs will bend.
