I Had a header tank installed=2C so I = pumped fuel in to fill up the header tank=2C and was ready for the first st= art. After a few blades=2C the engine came to life!=20 After a few minutes=2C the engine started running rough=2C so I shut down t= o see what might be the problem. We discovered that 2 injectors were plugge= d with debris. I cleaned the injectors=2C and the engine ran perfect=2C but= only for a few min. Again=2C another injector was plugged with Debris! =20 My Tech counselor said that if I didn't put a filter between my header tank= =2C and fuel gasgolator=2C he would not sign of the plane. He was convinced= that the engine would quit due to trash in the tanks on the first flight. =20 I bought the in line filter from Lancair=2C and installed. I ran the engine= on the ground a few more times before my first flight. =20 The first flight went perfect=2C in fact=2C I flew 2 more times that same d= ay!! Before my next flight=2C I decided to remove the inline filter to check and= see if there was anything in the filter. I couldn't believe how much trash= the filter collected!!!
