Lancair has (or at least had several years ago) replacement springs that are lighter.  I ran into this before the lighter springs existed.  On my plane removed the original springs on the pilot's side and merely have a long light-weight springs attached from the firewall to the pedals to keep them from falling over.  Also make sure you lube the cable in the nylon tubing.  I squirt LPS2 up the line every five years or so.
