Greg,
Very interesting and exciting!
A couple of questions:
How is the fuel efficiency compared to an IO-550?
What is the noise level compared to an IO-550?
What would be the total cost of converting from an IO-550 - including engine, all engine accessories, reduction gear, prop and belly scoop?
What will the new cowling look like?
What effect does this installation have on weight and balance?

Hey All;
Hope this answers some questions.
The engine is a Mazda 20B 3-rotor, with a Garrett 4088 turbo, and as you can see, we've fabricated all of the manifolds. Won't know for sure until we dyno the engine next week, but we anticipate a conservative 450+ hp at take-off, and to be turbo-normalized to 20,000 ft. +. Initially we will be using a Catto 76" (130 deg. pitch) fixed pitch prop configured for cruise at around 250+ knots. Cooling will go into a custom belly scoop we have fabricated, along with the oil cooler, all with adjustable cowl flaps. Benefits are 4 total moving parts, excellent weight to power ratio, dual spark plugs, dual fuel injectors, (one each runner), dual oil system with oversize cooler and pan. Costs on the engine thus far have come in around $15,000, and we anticipate around 1000+ hours TBO, hopefully, as we are only running the engine at about 50% of it's max potential horsepower, and it runs on pump gas or 100LL, the computer doesn't care which......(:-). We are using a RWS redrive at 2.85:1 reduction, and Tracy's EC3 computer to make it all go. We anticipate a few bugs, but for the most part it seems pretty solid, we'll see.

Cool but is there going to be enough room for a radiator?
