Rocky flew many times with me and always immediately fell asleep in the right seat as soon as the engine started. I usually threw an old ski jacket over him but I'm sure the noise damaged his hearing. In the last couple of years of his life, he went deaf - of course, at age 16 - 17 that might have happened anyway but this discussion has made me wonder if the din could have caused his problem. If my current friend of the canine persuasion (another Schnauzer named Missy) flys with me, you can be sure she'll be wearing a set of Mutt Muffs. Where do I get them?
