It will be interesting to find out why it "lost power." Is it that
the turbine didn't spool up fast enough?

HEADLINE: Ariz. man injured in
Kan. plane crash
An Arizona man was injured after
he crashed a small plane in
eastern Kansas.
Fifty-six-year-old Mark Sherman of
Chandler suffered a broken back in the crash.
The
Kansas Highway Patrol says Sherman was the pilot of the single-engine
Lancair IV Propjet that lost power while he was attempting to land at Allen
County Airport on Wednesday.
The patrol says Sherman
approached from the south, but had to circle the area while another plane
was on the runway.
The plane landed 200 feet
northeast of the runway. It skidded for about 50 yards until the wheels and
tailsection broke off the aircraft. The crash also caused a
fire that engulfed the plane.
