I have been using welder's oxygen for over five years now without any problems. I usually fly at 15.5K or 16.5K if the trip is going to be over an hour, but sometimes I will go up to 17.5k if the winds are favorable. Once you start flying at those altitudes, above the turbulence and other traffic, you probably won't want to go back. I have about 900 hours in my 360 now, and many of those hours were on welder's O2.
My system is a Mountain High two-place pulse demand system with a 22 cu ft kevlar bottle. The system weighs 9 lbs.
