Airframe specific websites? If there aren't thousands still building, Lancair is in big trouble. BTW . how many of the Evolutions have been sold/produced? The LML has been the greatest for getting ideas bounced around. I use it and yes am still building. It's my hobby . I have other airplanes to fly. There have been times when folks use the LML as a soapbox or worse an attack mechanism when they don't agree with someone on a given issue. Strut their behind at someone for all to see. Flip someone off in prose. Those folks can be banned. I don't think the LML is a forum for attack or acerbic dialog. If you don't agree with someone's comments, use private email to "communicate" those differences. Everybody has different ideas about how things should / could be done. Many times your / my idea is not the best, but it's ours! Throw it out there and sometimes learn why it isn't the best . or is a revolutionary idea that should be rewarded with recognition . but don't get defensive. Keep your cool and realize other people's ideas are as valid as yours/mine/ours. Unfortunately, there are many today that don't participate because of the likelihood of being attacked . This doesn't mean that we still don't have meaningful discussions about the former, just that they tend to be fewer and further between. That being said, if you (and I mean that collectively here) would prefer that I start filtering the more "peripheral" discussions from the LML, I'd be happy to do so. My concern is mostly about where to draw the line. Let me think about it over the weekend, and if anyone else would like to chime in with suggestions or solutions to perceived problems, please feel free to contact me offline at my private email address, just so we don't clog the LML with a bunch of management issues that are better left in the back room.
