There are some postings pointing out the potential for misrepresenting or
misinterpreting statistical data presented by Jeff and others.  That's good
- shows we are having a conversation and taking a finer cut at numbers and
concepts.

There is also an occasional comment intimating that the entire discussion is
futile or that data are of no use in our desire to further safety because
bottom line it's the attitude of the pilot, the quality of his hours or some
other immeasurable attribute that disqualifies productive use of the
exercise.

I'm not a statistician, but I've been around long enough to know that
carefully assembled data having been studied and appropriately responded to
can and does improve outcomes.

This discussion is extremely valuable and the shear volume of input in my
opinion validates the interest and importance of the subject.

I say keep em coming Jeff.  We're beginning to get the message.
