The FAA investigation and possible action was mentioned in Jeff Edwards' presentation in Hot Springs, also confirmed by Earl Lawrence, EAA VP of industry and regulatory affairs.

If LOBO can improve the communication between Lancair owners by disseminating important safety and maintenance information that's worth the price of admission.  But I believe that LOBO's role in government advocacy is even more important, especially with our safety record.  Since the FAA is considering possible action against the Lancair fleet, including modifications to our operating limitations, we need a voice.  For less than one month's XM weather subscription, we can pool our resources and have an increased presence in Washington.

For the record, I think the price that the Lancair flight instructors are charging is fair.
