Thanks all for the input on my Stec-50 with altitude hold problems.

Well,=A0 the update is - static port connection removed from Stec & magical=
ly the unit holds altitude +- nothing !=A0 first time ever since the AC was=
 built in 2002.=A0 So it looks like it was the pitch sensititve algorithm t=
hat caused oscillations. Gone when vented to the cabin.

Transponder antenna still has problems.=A0 Found=A0where someone had used T=
V coax from King antenna to transponder.=A0 King coax was still installed -=
 so reconnected King coax and still had problems.

Plan is to continue with install of external antenna.
=A0
Thanks again for=A0 all help with Stec.=A0 Much more usable AC with an oper=
ating autopilot.

However,=A0 now I can't justify new BMA EFIS.
