Matt,
   You must have some bitter history with flight training that you've not shared.   Am I hearing you right that you don't think flight instructors should charge for their services?  To quote you "The last place I think anyone should be profiting in is Lancair education and training and flight testing".  Do you really think that LOBO will be giving you free instruction and flight testing?  If you are referring to ACTUAL expenses as including an hourly rate for the instructor, then how much do YOU feel is profiting?   I'd really like to know this dollar figure. 
I don't believe anyone has paid ten million dollars for training nor would they, and I really doubt that anyone is charging $5000/hr for training, so if your post had a point, then maybe I missed it.

I think the best part about this is that it's "nonprofit."  The last place I think anyone should be profiting in is Lancair education and training and flight testing. 

I'm sick and tired of the "what's your life worth?" - argument.   With that argument, why not pay ten milllion dollars for training?  Because it's a stupid argument - that's why.

Finally, we have a group truly interesting in safety, not money.  No one has a problem paying for ACTUAL expenses when it comes to training, it's the $5000/hr approach that steers people away.

Above all, hopefully this group will promote common sense, which is priceless.
