I lurk on the RV = Digest and heard about it there. The 3G has a GPS receiver as well as accelerometers for use as an auto map navigator. Someone devised an application that converts the iPhone to an attitude indicator/DG. The application sells for $5.99. Yep, that's right. Of course you have to = have the phone and I hear it's several hundred bucks.=20 Obviously, it's not approved for use in an airplane, but what if you = carried it just for an additional backup behind your glass panel, your steam = gauges and your portable G496? Anybody used it yet? Does it provide enough = real information to save your bacon in a pinch?=20 Regards, John Barrett, CEO Leading Edge Composites PO Box 428 Port Hadlock, WA 98339 www.carbinge.com =A0=20
