I have a wx-500 on my
IVP. I've managed to get most of the noise out but have not yet
verified that I get all the real lightning info. A few
data-points:
- inhibiting the hyd pump required a time-delay
circuit which continues the inhibit slightly beyond when the hyd pump is
de-powered. apparently it makes electrical noise until the pump motor
actually stops turning
- high voltage strobe wires have to be physically
separated
- really good grounds everywhere...
- my sensor is on the belly about 3 feet behind the
gear wells
