Clark,
I have a wx-500 on = my=20 IVP.   I've managed to get most of the noise out but have not = yet=20 verified that I get all the real lightning info.   A few=20 data-points:
- inhibiting the hyd pump required a = time-delay=20 circuit which continues the inhibit slightly beyond when the hyd pump is = de-powered.  apparently it makes electrical noise until the pump = motor=20 actually stops turning
- high voltage strobe wires have to be = physically=20 separated
- really good grounds = everywhere...
- my sensor is on the belly about 3 = feet behind the=20 gear wells
