I spent a few days at the Grand Canyon and a few days at = Bryce Canyon National Park. Bryce is about 100nm N of Grand Canyon. = The scenery at both parks was worth the trip. Both had good airports = but at that time only Grand Canyon had shuttle service from the airport = to the park. The Bryce Canyon airport is only a few miles from the park = entrance but there weren't many services at the airport and only a = couple of motels in the area. On the other hand there aren't as many = people. Cedar City, UT has more services at the airport and in town than Bryce. = It's about 115nm NW of Grand Canyon. On the other hand the Sedona, AZ area is beautiful. You really don't = want to miss seeing it. It's about 70nm SE of Grand Canyon. Flagstaff, = AZ might make a good home base. It's close to Grand Canyon and Sedona, = has a full service airport and lot's of lodging in the area. If this is = your first trip to Arizona you might want to see if you can get some = recent copies of Arizona Highways magazine = (http://www.arizonahighways.com).
