The updates are on a 28-day rotation and a new one become effective
every fourth Thursday.  Last Thursday was one.  The updates are
available a few days in advance of their effectiveness.  One way to
check is go to the JeppView site where you do downloads and a screen
will tell you what you have available for download.

I've been subscribing to the Jeppesen database update for several years
and have never gotten any kind of notification from them. They do,
however, publish a schedule for the year. Here's what I show as the
effective dates for the rest of the year. The download is usually
available 7-10days before the effective date. You can get the schedule
