There is an airport at the South Rim entrance KGCN. Some one mentioned a town So. with a narrow gauge trail to the Canyon that's a great trip Town is Williams AZ they have an airport don't know the ID. Flagstaff is about 1&1/2 hr from the Canyon and an interesting city KFLG. Some one mentioned Sedona which is 40 minutes So of Flagstaff on Hwy 89A down through Oak Creek Canyon(a beautiful drive). Sedona is KSEZ and there is a hotel on the mesa where the airport is located called Sky Ranch Lodge. The rooms on the mesa rim have the=20 best views in the valley.
