Lancair Accidents by Phase of Flight as of May 20, 2008. If you read the AOPA Air Safety Foundation Nall Report www.aopa.org/asf/publications/nall.html  you will find the Lancair numbers for the phase of flight in which the accident occurs is very close to the totals for GA. Almost half of all accidents occur on takeoff and landing.
