Jeff, while the numbers are interesting, they are not too surprising. My
point is “most” people are involved in car accidents within 5 miles of their
home. The reason is, that is where they spend most of their time. It is
impossible to have 500 hrs in type without first having 10. To drive a stake
in what I believe….John Halle said it pretty well this morning. I have a lot
of hours in a Bonanza. The biggest difference I see between the two planes is
the difference in airframe drag below 120 knots. Pull the power on a IV-P
below 120 knots and you better push the nose over quickly. Oh….and the IV-P
is so much more fun to fly. If anybody wants me to demonstrate my piloting
skills in their IV-P while mine is being finished, please don’t hesitate to
call. <grin> You can fly chase in my Bonanza.
