That is a pretty cool picture, but shows extreme lack of good judgment in the fact that you post it on your website in hopes of attracting new clients. Do you have any idea how dangerous that maneuver is? Yes, you obviously survived, but what kind of message are you sending? What other dumb pilot tricks are you showing others? I hope the Lancair guys on this list (and others by word of mouth) will stay clear of someone with the "I can fly anything" attitude you seem to have. You say it's no problem to fly a LNC4 into grass strips and that you "fly the 4's into grass strips all the time". This implies that you have flown multiple LNC4's into multiple grass strips. No doubt it can be done, no doubt certain grass strips will work, but this is airplane is not made to operate like that, and if you are trying to promote safety then you should not encourage that type of flying. We have had a terrible year in Lancair accidents and training is a huge issue. The training needs to be standardized and done by a Lancair approved instructor. These are the only instructors that the insurance companies will accept, so I'm a little curious how you say you can fly with someone in a LNC4 and get them insurance. If you are just telling them that you are a Lancair instructor and they are assuming you are on the approved list then there could be a coverage issue. Joe spent an enormous amount of time with the insurance companies to get the cost to a reasonable level. Someone needed a Legacy flown overseas and you said you would fly it for them.=20 Do you have a lot of time in a Legacy? I doubt it, so again shows very poor judgment. I have no idea what your flying skills are, nor do I know you, so I'm just commenting on what I see you post and what's on your website. If you are trying to break into flight instructing in Lancairs, you are going about it the wrong way. Ron GalbraithHPAT instructor Yea, its me.
