Rod -----Original Message----- From: Lancair Mailing List [mailto:lml@lancaironline.net]On Behalf Of Jim Cameron Sent: Tuesday, July 29, 2008 7:14 PM To: lml@lancaironline.net Subject: [LML] Gap seals FYI, I tried the gap seals from Wings & Wheels on my Legacy. They consist of the curved mylar strips, a double-sticky tape for putting them on, and another tape layer over the leading edge. The majority of the seals I applied departed the aircraft in the first flight or two! Seems the glider stickum isn't up to the airspeeds of the Legacy. And no, I didn't notice any difference in control forces with or without them present. [They stayed put on an earlier ES that I built.] Jim Cameron Legacy N132X Boerne Stage Airfield, TX -- For archives and unsub http://mail.lancaironline.net:81/lists/lml/List.html
