Bill,
Impressive #'s.
Was head temp are you running in that regime and also are you ROP or LOP?
RS

I leaned to rough than enrichened to "almost smooth".

Temps were low, at 4.4 gph there is not much heat.

The Lycoming performance charts show that the 360 can make 100 hp at a lower rpm and lower fuel flow than the 320.

A few weeks ago I ran the 360 in the Fuelventure competition at Meadowlake near Colorado Springs . I came in fourth overall after three Variez’s. it did 37.8 mpg around a triangular course of 378 miles at 168 mph (4.44 gph).

I flew at about 140- 150 mph indicated and adjusted altitude with power. The power setting in level flight was around 16.5” at 1500 rpm, which is well off the chart.

It is a stock 360 A1A with mags and carb turning the old 2 blade Hartzel.

They are planning on taking it to Copper State fly in. I highly recommend it, they are a good bunch of guys engaged in friendly competition.
