I have moved two 360's over 1500 miles--this is how I have done it. I take a flat bed trailer with a wooden deck--I measure in from the rear of the trailer the distance of the main gear--place two 2"x6"x10'
4" a part across the trailer-screw them down every foot--put the plane on the trailer so that the tail of the plane is to the tongue of the trailer--put the tail on a saw horse with a lot of padding--put a block of wood on the inside of each main tire and the screw the wood down to the 2'x6"x10' --cut the excess wood off the outside of the 2"x6"x10' so that when traveling you do not hit on the excess wood extending out--I use car ramps to load the plane on the 2"x6"--with the 4" spacing between the 2"x6" the main tires will ride down in the 4" space--I now strap every thing as tight as I can-each main to the 2"x6"'s--tail to the saw horse and frame of the trailer--nose gear to both sides of the trailer and the end--I drive for two miles and stop to check all straps---be sure no lose ends are hanging out--you do not want to catch a lose end under a tire and have a very bad day---damage the plane---I tape the oil door and any thing that may take on water closed. I trailer size that I have used is a a single axil about 20' long with the tongue.
I hope that this helps.

I need to move my LNC2 (in construction but on wheels) 18 miles to a new garage and was wondering how you folk who moved their Lancair 320/360 what is the best way.
Is truck with tilt-able flat bed, usually used to move cars, wide enough? That seams the best option to me since they are 21' long.
