I take= a flat bed trailer with a wooden deck--I measure in from the rear of the t= railer the distance of the main gear--place two 2"x6"x10' 4" a part across the trailer-screw them down every foot--put the plane on t= he trailer so that the tail of the plane is to the tongue of the trailer--p= ut the tail on a saw horse with a lot of padding--put a block of wood on th= e inside of each main tire and the screw the wood down to the 2'x6"x10' --= cut the excess wood off the outside of the 2"x6"x10' so that when traveling= you do not hit on the excess wood extending out--I use car ramps to load t= he plane on the 2"x6"--with the 4" spacing between the 2"x6" the main tires= will ride down in the 4" space--I now strap every thing as tight as I can-= each main to the 2"x6"'s--tail to the saw horse and frame of the trailer--n= ose gear to both sides of the trailer and the end--I drive for two miles an= d stop to check all straps---be sure no lose ends are hanging out--you do n= ot want to catch a lose end under a tire and have a very bad day---damage t= he plane---I tape the oil door and any thing that may take on water closed.= I trailer size that I have used is a a single axil about 20' long with th= e tongue.
