Hi Valin
What hid lights are you = planning?
What is your timetable?

I = am working on something and may be able to have an extra set of lenses = made. No use both of us making forms. Ron jones has some, but they are = too small for me.

I am attempting to use = the aero led small land lights. Also I plan to have rear tip lenses and = mount the rear strobe &nav (both wings) = there.

Aveo engenering is selling an led = strobe and is working on a tail strobe nav. Aero led is also working on = a surface mount led strobe nav.

I hope to = be able to use a led strobe.

Hey LML gang,

I=E2=80=99d really like to have our Legacy=E2=80=99s landing lights in the wing, = rather than just mounted on the landing gear, for the significant collision = avoidance mitigation it provides =E2=80=93 according to USAF studies.  The = easiest place to put them is in the Legacy=E2=80=99s stub wing section because = the shape there is so simple and there=E2=80=99s plenty of space.  The problem I = have with that location is that it will be very difficult to do it so cleanly that = it doesn=E2=80=99t trip turbulent flow very early along the chord of this = laminar flow wing -- with significant drag increase...  =

So, I=E2=80=99d really like to get our landing lights in the wing tips.  I=E2=80=99ve= finally found some nice, low profile HID lights that are small enough to fit in = the Legacy=E2=80=99s wing tips.  The biggest challenge is the = thermo-forming of the clear acrylic lens with the more complex shape of the wing = tips=E2=80=A6

I really don=E2=80=99t wan=E2=80=99t to add yet another mod development to our Legacy = project.  Has anyone else already done this for landing lights in the Legacy=E2=80=99s = wing tips?  Does anyone know of a shop with reasonable prices for = forming acrylic like this?

Thanks,

Valin
