Mike,
I was only thinking in cost of operation. I am no
expert, just a guy who wants to fly a Lancair. I have seen all
kinds of stats in writing concerning fuel burn at the various percentages.
I was just thinking that there might be a fuel burn per hour of about 1 to 2
gallons less with the 320, if used properly, for a very small speed sacrifice. I
have heard claims for the 320 Lancair of 6 gals an hour to 9 gal an hour.
I have read 360 claims of 8 to 10. Of course most of these claims were in
advertisements attempting to sell the aircraft. I know the only way I
will know is to monitor it myself when I get to flying.
To be honest with you I haven’t bought fuel in over 3
years. Been building, but plan to start flying my 360 in Mid August.
Don’t know how much it is actually. But based on previous
percentages compared to auto gas I expect it to be close to $6.00 a gallon.
Thanks for the input.
