The baffling is overlapping under the mounting bracket….did you shim for this?

Yes, I shimmed between the mounting bracket and the baffling to make up for the single thickness of metal baffling vs. the double thickness where the baffling overlaps.  I don't remember if I used washers or made shims out of aluminum, but I shimmed wherever it needed it so that the distance between the magnets and the sensors was within spec over the full rotation of the crankshaft and so that the mounting bracket didn't look like it could vibrate.  I found a build photo that shows I wrote, "shim .033" on the baffling above the mounting bracket, with an arrow pointing to the bracket.
