We are grateful for the data you provided on your 16 Jan 2000 posting to
the Lancair list.
We would be most appreciative if you could provide details on your
leaning/enrichining technique and the degrees rich and lean of peak. What
length of time did you allow for the EGT's \ CHT"s and airspeed to
stabilize?
What was the aircraft weight for each reading?
Did you attempt to fly parrallel to the isobars at altitude?
How was the OAT measured? What type instrumentation? Where is your
external probe located? We are wondering about ram rise in this regard.
We have long felt that Lancair and Continental should have long ago
provided power and performance curves for the IVP. Many thanks to you for
your posted data.
