Some of you have suggested that a good way to reduce hinge wear is to remove the
non stainless pin and insert telfon spaghetti tubing with a .09 OD and .066 ID
and then to insert stainless welding rod into the teflon tube. Could one of you
comment on the success of this proceedure in reducing hinge wear? Also, has any
thought been given to the reduction in hinge strength due to the smaller pin
diameter?
