Subject: [LML] L360 Fuel system = question

I am using an 0-360 in my Lancair.  I bought the = back-up=20 fuel pump for it from Lancair.   The plans say to place this = fuel=20 pump on the firewall but others have told me not too.  I have = been told=20 to mount the pump under the seat pan in the cockpit.
They say it = stays=20 cooler and actually is less stress on the pump because it uses gravity = slightly to help it suck fuel in to pump out back to the gascolator on = the=20 firewall.
Anybody see any "Bad Idea" in doing=20 this?

Thanks
Bryan
