Thanks Paul,
Doesn’t sound like a stock standard
O320 (D1F) in his aeroplane.
What’s mph?
No – just looking for stock engine
performance with prop type – just interested.

“Oscar
Grassle's 235/320, with the ELIPPSE two-blade racing prop, would go 242 mph TAS
at 1000' dalt at 3200 rpm, 240 mph TAS at 5500' dalt at 3150 rpm, and 233 mph
TAS at 10,000' dalt at 3090 rpm; these were predicted and tested values. With
his present modified Great American two-blade prop he gets about 219 mph TAS at
8500' dalt at 2660 rpm.
The ELIPPSE two blade prop just designed for a 235/320 is predicted to give 216
mph TAS at 2700 rpm at 14,500' dalt, 224 mph TAS at 8800' dalt at 2760 rpm, and
230 mph TAS at 2300' dalt, 2850 rpm.”
