I have the complete instructions and will try to OCR them later today. I did it without the factory sending me anything other than the instruction sheet and a new clock chip. The trick is that your own "tach" board(I think that's the one -- I have to look) has to have a header pin group on it like the boards that use a panel switch such as the EGT/CHT switch. Since that board doesn't have a switch normally, I carefully added one, then temporarily transferred the CHT switch to it for the setting procedure. I have to assume that the the factory loaner device was that board with a switch header and switch that you temporarily plug on the jumpering flat cables between the displays. At the time I did this, around Jan. 2007, I had to replace the clock/RAM chip because of age as it has an internal battery in the chip for the timekeeping function. The factory was helpful, but as it was after the ownership transition, no one seemed to know exactly how to do the resetting procedure or know where the setting tool was. They did find the instructions which gave me the clue on the header trick. I assume each display board type has a built in address, hence the CPU knows that if it finds a switch on the normally switchless address, it must mean you want to set the tach.

Hi,
I'm replacing the battery in an EPI-800. I've found the steps for
resetting the time of day clock. Does anyknow have [or remember]
the steps to reset the tachometer's hours counter?
