Hamid, I do not disagree with your assertion that "Every airplane accident almost invariably has an eye witness that states
that he heard abnormal engine sounds.......", etc., etc.

Please note that the words in my earlier post were not mine, but rather quoted from the relevant account in AVweb. Of course we all know that often what is reported in the media, particularly when related to an aircraft crash, is gibberish - however since the information came from individuals at the airport, I thought it was more likely to approach the truth.
