Dan, here is my thought. If the plugs are not firing then
the plugs should be wet or at least show signs of fuel. Smell them, you
can tell if fuel is present. I would check the boost pump and make sure
you are getting “prime” fuel before you start cranking. You
didn’t say it started with a big blast of black smoke so I’m
assuming it is not flooded. You may be depending only on the engine
driven pump for fuel.
