Don Barnes made working on the paint scheme and colors part of
the enjoyment of building. We considered many subtle changes to get it
just right. Every time you look at your airplane you will be pleased or
wish you had changed it. I think it’s a big deal. Maybe one
of the most important components since it is the finishing touch that others
judge your airplane by.
Don made sure the scheme worked with the canopy handle and cowl
parting line so the painter could lay it out easily too. Another tool he
used is the photo of a Legacy with our scheme and colors applied to give the
best possible idea of how it would look. This is no place to settle for
less than the best.
