The problem I can see with the heat blanket is over time it will look
tattered and come unattached from the aircraft. It is also not as pleasing
to the eyes compared to the stainless steel shields. As for the stainless
steel shields if you can get them their pretty and would do a great job of
protecting the fuselage and your feet from the heat. I understand it's very
difficult to manufacture the stainless steel exhaust and at the moment there
are none that are relatively available.

The carbon carbon idea is two fold. First the parts are much easier to make
because they are molded. Second instead of shiny stainless steel you will
have black shields which will show less wear and tear and do not need
polishing.

So is your plane flying yet?
