On my 320 I use a float and a auto relay and keep the level at three
quaters. This means the pumps cycle on and off most of the time. I asked
the pump maker how this would affect the life of the pump and he said it
wouldn't hurt it at all. I just finished my 25 hour oil change at 850
hours and haven't had any problems with the pumps so far. I'm going to
put one in my parts bag to osh as one will surly fail when im farthest
from home.
