Greg,
Attached are two pictures of the area where the aft fuselage was
strengthened.
Andy Chiavetta has a web site http://aerochia.com/ . You won't see
anything about this mod on the web site, you'll will need to call him to
discuss that. To answer your question, yes, you can still do the strengthen
modification.
However, there are several airframe modifications listed on the site. I have
all of the speed modifications on my airplane. I think they are worth
adding.
