The main difference in my set up is that the inner gear door was extended slightly with glass so that it now has a lip which overlaps the outer door when closed and thus holds everything tight. The inner door no longer flexes at the back (causing it to flutter in flight). If the door was strengthened /stiffened this would also help but wasn't necessary in my case. As Ian suggested you could also remove the door entirely. I removed my nose gear door with no appreciable difference. Again less to go wrong.
