The servo would just go past center (over center) and lock the elevator. You must allow a little extra for wear and over travel. Fortunately I discovered it on a ground check where I let the pitch control go to full travel, then the elevator would not move. This is an unusual flight configuration but one should protect the control system from any possible lockups.
