My shocks (Glide-Ride) are heavier than Tim's - mine add about 2# to the weight of your aircraft. They are however rugged and tough - they use KONI components that have been proven on race and rally tracks all over the world for over 50 years and they are backed by KONI. My shocks use coil springs with an oil filled internal damper - Tim's use pressurised gas for the suspension. In the unlikely event of a seal or valve failure my shocks will still be safe to fly. Both shocks are adjustable, both have roughly the same travel, and both are simple bolt in replacements. I have shocks on 235's using 1000# springs and on 360's with the outback gear option using 1500# rated springs - no problem. Will they be at Oshkosh - of course. I plan to be there and also Lancair uses a set of Glide-Rides on the factory demonstrator. Lastly, mine are not the dearest on the market - but they should be ! Mine are $940, Tims's are $1195.
