 I have to have at least 40 lbs in the mains or I will get a hole in  the tube
sides. I use 45 to 48 in the mains.
 
 I have never had a problem with the nose and I keep it at 35 lbs.
 
The last time I had a problem the FBI was not interested but the US Post Office inspectors did go to work on the problem.
