Wanted to survey the folks out there who have
installed Lightspeed ignitions and resolved the issue of passing the crank
sensor wire with the large d-sub connector through the firewall then closing and
sealing the hole..
Even after removing the D-sub shell, it
seems I will still need to make a hole in my firewall that is about 1.25”
in Diameter. Can some other builders suggest and or send me some photos of the
methods they used to neatly finish and cover that pass through? I did pick up a
few firewall shields from Spruce, but was thinking that perhaps there are other
ways that result in a more “robust and finished” appearance.
Thanks
