Posted for "Craig Gill" <cgill1960@gmail.com>: To all LML listers I am pleased to announce that after 3 years of hard work, too much money and unbelievable help form Brad & D.L. Simmons, Mike Custard, the gang @ Pheonix Composites and my very patient wife, N992BC (Kit 576) made its maiden flight from Falcon Field in Mesa, AZ @10:40 am on Nov. 2, 2007. The flight was eventful only for a slightly heavy right wing. Bill Walker (Society of Experimental Test Pilots) was my pilot and did a superb job. I have included a link to YOUTUBE with movies of the engine runs, high speed taxi runs with beta tests, and the landing form the first flight. The aircraft features a panel by Avionics Systems with Dual Cheltons, 430's, Sorcerer; the firewall forward was provided by Advanced Aviation Inc and uses a Garrett TPE331-2, five blade MT composite propellor; an electroexpulsive de-ice system by Ice Management systems; and air conditioning by FLight Line AC. We have made two flights with speeds from 105KIAS to 190KIAS (level flight 4000MSL and 30% power). We will continue open the envelope and welcome any comments or suggestions. After reading many of these posts over the last 5 years it feels really great to post my own. Craig Gill 254-498-7858 cgill1960@gmail.com
