I use a product from Rural King (farm supply store) called Purple Power. I
use it to remove exhaust stains (works better than anything else I ever tried),
oil residue, and fuel stains (I get them on my nose wheel pant from the
drain).
I have a pearl white paint with clear coat and the cleaner gets the fuel
stain off even after its been there for a week or two. Sometimes takes two
or three sprays to get it but it always comes off.
Hope this helps.

Subject: [LML] Removing fuel stains
This is sort of in the "Hints from Heloise"
category, but does
anyone have a good way to remove fuel stains (the blue
dye from 100LL)
from white paint (Imron)? Ethanol is moderately
effective if the stain
isn't too deep; acetone does nothing.
