Each wing tank on Lancair
235 kit #11 was built with two (2) vents. One exits just above the main wing
spar at the root. The other exits at the rear of the wing near the drain
valve... lower corner of the root rib.
Both go into the tank.
The top one ends near the tank's gas cap. Don't know where the bottom-rear
one vents.
None goes outboard and down at
the tip, per the plans.
Possibilities: the original
builder intended a sight gage?
Does anyone have a clue,
perhaps from early discussions?
